着色玻璃广泛应用于既需采光又需隔热之处，能合理利用太阳光，调节室内温度，节省空调费用，而且对建筑物的外形有很好的装饰效果。一般多用作建筑物的门窗或玻璃幕墙。 

1.可有效吸收太阳的辐射，产生“冷室效应”，可达到蔽热节能的效果； 

2.可吸收较多的可见光，使透过的阳光变得柔和，避免眩光应改善室内色泽； 

3.能较强的吸收太阳的紫外线，有效的防止紫外线使室内物品的褪色和变质； 

4.具有一定的透明度，能清晰地观察室外景物； 

5.色泽鲜艳，经久不变，能增加建筑物的外形美观。 

（1）按生产工艺：着色浮法玻璃和着色普通平板玻璃。 

（2）按用途：制镜级、汽车级、建筑级。着色普通平板玻璃按GB4871划分等级。 

（3）按色调：不同颜色系列，包括紫色、金色、绿色、蓝色、茶色、灰色、红色系列等。 

（4）着色浮法玻璃按厚度：2mm、3mm、4mm、5mm、6mm、8mm、10mm、12mm、15mm、19mm。着色普通平板玻璃按厚度分为：2mm、3mm、4mm、5mm。

(2) By use: mirror level, automobile level, construction level.  Tinted ordinary flat glass is graded according to GB4871.  

(3) By color: different color series, including purple, gold, green, blue, tan, gray, red series, etc.  

(4) colored float glass according to the thickness: 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 19mm.  Colored ordinary flat glass is divided into: 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm according to the thickness.
